Public Speaking – How to interact with your audience
There are four essential skills you need to master if you will be a speaker public successfully and participate fully with your audience.
Eye Contact
Over 80% of its impact goes directly to the public eye … so watch … not the floor or walls or ceiling or on your visual aids … watch people.
Spread your eye contact evenly throughout the room. Do not look to anyone for two long. You can enter any kind of emotional discomfort if someone is looking into the eyes for too long! And random eye contact. No bar into the room like a lighthouse. Your audience will soon get into their rhythm and play anticipating your next visit!
A rule of thumb is, if your mouth is working you should look to their audience. If you have to look elsewhere for any reason (for a glass of water, for instance, or write on a flip chart) to stop talking and only allow your mouth to start working again when you are facing your audience.
Notes
No more script their conversations and not keep your notes. If you keep the notes that continually look for them, even when you do not need, and therefore lose eye contact with your audience.If you hold your notes is the danger that you read them and to use pompous language, and that all emotions are out of your voice. Surely drown your gestures.
Only have to use words or pictures on a poster board and requested. Write large, the use of color and put their notes on a table next to your presentation area. Then can go and take a look at them every time you need. You are the expert on the subject you are talking about. That is why it is you who is giving the talk. If you can not do without many notes, what chance does your audience have?
Humor

Stories, anecdotes and examples
The most powerful device to a host market and one that can not be overused. Stories etc to bring a presentation to life, that is interesting, make it memorable. They abstract concepts real.
My experience is that they surround the message at his story with pictures as much as you can. Actually go to the city in history. Tell us about the people, climate, buildings, all to bring history to life. What we find happens, by including this seemingly irrelevant material, is that public understanding of his message more easily and perhaps more importantly, will remember him for longer.
What happens is that people build a vivid mental picture in glorious Technicolor as you are speaking and they will remember that image and is a point you made. So try to start their stories with a sentence like: "It was a cold and rainy day in February, the wind howled, dogs barked …" rather than just tell the story without the atmosphere.
These four elements give life to your presentations. The public see him as someone you trust, with the participation and interest in them.
